Snowater Got the ‘Yes’
From the Landlord
The Solomons Flooring store at Tweed Heads is a family owned and operated franchise, serving the local community from their leased premises for over 5 years.
Having adopted the latest in retail technology, their showroom features high efficiency LED lighting, split-system air conditioning, and TV displays.
To keep their business running, the owners were spending over $2,000 per quarter on electricity.
“Electricity wasn’t something I thought we could save on” said managing director, Michael Lawrence. “We made sure we updated our discounts with Origin every year, but it didn’t seem to have much impact”.
Enter Snowater. We provided the business with $0 upfront solar panels and a great new energy rate.
“They took care of the set up with the landlord, which made it very easy for us. All they needed was the agent’s details” said store manager, Peta.
“Even though we were still under a 12-month contract with Origin at the time, the solar didn’t have any impact on that contractually.”
In the first quarter with their new solar panels, their Origin bill was down to $500, and the bill for the solar energy used at the discounted rate was $700, saving them over $800.
“We’re better off with Snowater” said Mr Lawrence. “It didn’t cost us anything upfront and the savings are clear.”
